The Baneberry Cup

The Baneberry Cup is a Ryder cup style format began in 2007 and pitted the Heywouldjablowmes against the Fuck Pauls. In 2012 the Cup was condensed to 2 full rounds with the Alternate Shot and 4-ball combined into 2 9 hole matches.

The cup consists of 3 rounds with 2 teams competing. All formats are Match Play, which means scoring is hole by hole. When one side has won more holes than are left in the match the player or team is deemed the winner and earns 1 pt. for their team. Ties after 18 holes result in ½ pt. for each team. Remember in match play concessions are part of the game. If a putt is conceded there is no need to continue to putt, pick the fuckin thing up and speed up play. If a hole is conceded all members pick up - the hole is over.

Alternate Shot

2 Man teams compete against each other 2 v 2 in a Match Play Format (Scoring is hole by hole). Both team memebers hit a tee shot. Pick the best drive or the one that is in play and alternate shots from that point. Score the total strokes to complete the hole. The lowest total wins the hole. No handicaps apply in this format.

4-Ball

Once again 2 man teams play a match play format. Each member plays their own ball, and the team scores the low net vs. the low net of the opponent team. (Net means your score minus your handicap for that hole.)

Match Play

Just what it says. Two men enter one man leaves. Play your ball tee to hole write down your net score. Compare it to the opponents net score. The low score wins the hole.
